Rotary Atlanta West End Microbusiness Program

The Rotary Club of Atlanta West End Microbusiness Program is designed to provide small business education, mentoring, resources, and loans to entrepreneurs serving Atlanta's West End neighborhood. To date, two cohorts of Atlanta West End entrepreneurs have taken part in the program, Two Open Houses were hosted in early 2019 to provide information to potential program participants in our third cohort, and at present five entrepreneurs have been accepted, with recruitment ongoing for five additional spaces. Participants in this year's cohort will take a mini-MBA course at Atlanta Technical College, facilitated by Rotary AWE members Victoria Seals and Kimberly Weaver. Rotary AWE has set up 501c3 status for the microbusiness program to broaden opportunities for funding the program. Rotary AWE club members are involved in all aspects of managing the program: applicant recruitment and selection, technical education and support, public relations, legal compliance, business mentors, and loan documentation, repayment, and banking.
