Much has changed in Atlanta’s West End since 1958, but one thing remains constant: the Rotary Club of Atlanta West End. For more than 60 years, we have built lasting relationships among servant leaders from diverse backgrounds, working together to create meaningful impact in our community.

Ms. Margaret Nagawa, PhD candidate at Emory University and instructor at Spelman College
Margaret Nagawa, PhD candidate at Emory University and instructor at Spelman College, spoke to discuss her curated exhibition “Insistent Presence: Contemporary African Art from the Chazen Collection” at the Carlos Museum of Art. Nagawa outlined how contemporary African artists use the human body, or its absence, to explore history, identity, and social inequality. Members heard about her interdisciplinary path in art, and were invited to visit related exhibitions and continue engaging with African art locally.

Member Showcase — Leo Chancey
Senior Policy Analyst and Rotarian Leo Chancey shared his inspiring journey in public service, drawing connections between ethical governance and community engagement. With over fifteen years in Georgia’s House Budget and Research Office, Leo offered isights into the state’s budgeting process, fiscal priorities, and the balance between prudence and compassion. His reflections on youth mentorship and volunteer work at Impact Church’s food pantry illustrated how service bridges the gap between policy and people.

A Threshold Choir — Ms. Judith Fuller, Leader
Through gentle bedside singing, the Threshold Choir offers comfort and peace to those nearing the end of life. Unlike traditional choirs, members sing softly in small groups for about 20 minutes, using simple, chant-like songs guided by hand signals to respond to each moment’s needs.
