Carden Wyckoff is a disability advocate. She believes in creating an accessible and equitable world for people with disabilities, which she brings to fruition through community engagement and the workplace.
Carden is an experienced digital accessibility trailblazer with a demonstrated history of working in the non-profit and tech industry driving change for people with disabilities. She is a strong business development professional with a BSA focused in Biological Sciences and Environmental Health Science from The University of Georgia. Carden is currently at Salesforce and is a Principal Accessibility Team Lead & Senior Accessibility Support Engineer & former ERG Global AbilityForce President.
Since joining Salesforce in 2016, on top of her day job, she has helped drive disability inclusion and awareness as the Global President for Salesforce's employee resource group for disabilities and its allies; curate an accessible events playbook for Salesforce events Dreamforce/ TrailheaDX/ World Tours; ignite conversations for Salesforce real estate universal design strategy and its travel/ safety guide; drive initial discussions for a disability tech support answer desk; and co-wrote the long range plan for corporate accessibility which created Saleforce’s Office of Accessibility. They believe that together they can become a barrier free work environment so all can thrive, and welcome you on their journey towards inclusion for all.
Carden recently became a member of the Disability Advisory Board for Delta Air Lines. She also just transitioned from the MARTA Army, Inc. Board after 6 years. Carden is also a Strategic Advisor for Midtown Alliance and Chair of the city’s Human Relations Commission which was established over 20 years ago, and made a priority under Mayor Dickens, to promote mutual respect and understanding within the city of Atlanta.
In her spare time, Carden advocates for transit equity, complete streets, Vision Zero and accessibility rights with local Atlanta government and advocacy orgs. She has also scaled a few mountains on piggyback to raise awareness for FSHD muscular dystrophy, inspired a children's book entitled “Carden: The Wheelchair Warrior”, a story of whimsy, courage and individuality which you can find on Amazon, and hosted a podcast named "Freewheelin' with Carden".
