Rotary Atlanta West End Microbusiness Program

The Rotary Club of Atlanta West End Microbusiness Program provides small business education, mentoring, resources, and loans to entrepreneurs serving Atlanta's West End neighborhood. Each cohort begins with recruitment through community open houses and local publications and social media, as well as reaching out to former participants and other community partners. Participants take a mini-MBA course at Atlanta Technical College, facilitated by Rotary AWE members Victoria Seals and Kimberly Weaver, and are matched with professional mentors with experience in their field. Rotary AWE has set up 501c3 status for the microbusiness program to broaden opportunities for funding the program. Rotary AWE club members are involved in all aspects of managing the program: applicant recruitment and selection, technical education and support, public relations, legal compliance, business mentors, and loan documentation, repayment, and banking.
