Grocery Delivery Totes for Southwest Ecumenical Emergency Assistance Center

Southwest Ecumenical Emergency Assistance Center Executive Director, Mrs. Ernesta Ingram spoke to AWER about SWEEAC and the services they provide to West End families with emergency need to support and promote self-sufficiency, prevent hunger and address homelessness. At that time, Mrs. Ingram mentioned that, due to the pandemic, they closed their food pantry to the public and have counted on volunteers to pick up groceries from the pantry and deliver to their families' homes.

We reached out to Mrs. Ingram and asked her how we could help her organization. She told us that they are in dire need of grocery bags or totes. The bags need to be new so nothing gets passed on - unknowingly - to their families.

AWER purchased and delivered new grocery totes to Mrs. Ingram to assist with delivery. We look forward to a long-lasting community partnership with Mrs. Ingram and SWEEAC. Thank you Mrs. Ingram for your tireless commitment and dedication to the West End community.
